Dear friends,
since Cartel's ultimate 104 / 220 is equipped with phantasy caseback, can someone provide photos of gen PAM 220 I-series caseback? right BB code?
As far as I know, closed 6 happen to appear for late I-series and for whole J-series. With J-series new bracelet mounting system has been introduced (so, ultimate PAM 220 from Cartel cannot be assigned to J-series).
About "L SWIS MADE L" too close to digit 6 my observations are:
- L SM L close effect seems to be quite random based on gen photos
- BOTH versions are in GEN world
- it looks like ... printing error when producing gen dials!
I collected two pictures of GEN 104, stretched them in Photoshop to match dial printings and look what I found out:
As you can see, these are two version overlayed together - close L SM L is less visible. Now you can have the same observation - it is print error OR two independent dial manufacturers print it the way is a bit shifted (Luminor Marina etc. texts are also shifted!) or not shifted.
Looks like Panerai accepts both versions or faulty (non-standard) batch of dials found its way to the market. Anyway, L SM L close to 6 is minority - but it happen Cartel's manufacturer copied just this version.
