PAM 217 XF or Build a PAM 022 Destro ?

I’ve a Panerai 005 by Noob latest version and I'm waiting for the XF dial + hands set to arrive ‘cause the dial is not superlumed. But my question is another.
I love the Panerai Destro but unfortunately there is nothing like 44mm. I wanted to ask about the PAM 217 Destro by XF, even if it's from the 1950 series and it's a 47mm.
Is it worth buying or is it better to create a PAM 022….? I may have the dial + hands set for the 022 and would use a Noob 005 as a base. I would polish the CG like Gen. I just have the problem of finding the caseback.
So ? Do I buy directly a 217 XF or do I start a long job….?

The XF 217 isn't a great rep but if you can buy a new one from a TD its probably your only option. Noob 217's are very rare now.

In the end I decided to have a very best Panny.....
I chose for a Destro , the Panerai PAM 022 , serial B from 2001 and not tritium dial.
When ready , Master @Belkin12 will open a thread.

@Belkin12 told me my PAM 022 is ready and he already packed it. Ready to be shipped. I can't wait for it to be in my hands but especially on my wrist. Belkin didn't send me pictures , but he said (we talked about everything on WhatsApp) said he will open a thread here about my Destro. I hope to share another Belkin12 creation with you.
