Needle reg, straight spokes on the balance wheel (or whatever it's called), sure looks like it. My guess would be 100% Swiss, not Swinese or Chwiss hybrid...

well, you could say thet all 6497's with those bridges and swan neck are hybrids, since ETA does not ship them that way. The one you show in the pictures has swiss DNA (balance wheel and gears apear to be swiss) and that's a good thing....

Good point, LP. The point I was trying to make is that it isn't the Swiss/Asian hybrid that has been trouble prone....

agreed - there was a version for a while that had only one screw to hold down the balance wheel assembly (pretty sure I am using the wrong terminology here), but AFAIK the newer ASIAN 6497 have this fixed, so in a nutshell if there are 2 screws below the balance wheel it shouldn't make any problems :wink:

Yannou where did you get the watch that has this movement? Or if you don't have it, what dealer does? This is a good movement, but I'm not convinced it is genuine ETA with Chinese overwork. But it is good! I think this is the movement Davidsen was using and was reviewed here or RWG.

I ordered one from Ruby but manufactury could no longer for the moment deliver this movement...so Ruby replace it with a movement of a 111H..
Waiting the delivery.. :wink:
