Hi guys

Going through my old watch box I have a 212 that the crystal smashed. I removed the crystal and since the hands have bent out of shape.
Movement still works great, working chrono, reset to 12 etc
So what would be a fair price to sell this m2m for working movement or spares? I have no idea of the value

Thanks

Honestly, I would advise you to look at the M2M parts threads and check them for similar parts. I know you've PMed me with this question but I know it's something that you can check for yourself and I don't want to be like @SuperLory over at your PAM036 B, what's it worth thread where you take it the wrong way when he tried to offer his opinion on the watch's worth.

There are PAM cases for sale and movements for sale in M2M. Compare the general condition of your parts vs the ones there and adjust accordingly. Be advised that your parts, like the PAM036B are neither rare nor special, so don't think there is a premium for them. TDs can still probably source those parts.

And please @cheeky , no more what's it worth threads. Next one I see goes in the bin.

Sorry I'm only trying to get some knowledge, rep watches is not something I admit to knowing a great deal about. I only messaged you direct as you helped me learn about another panerai model and that I can only upload pictures through a dm. I don't have any active photo sharing account to upload pics to a thread here. Please delete both posts if they are deemed as unreasonable. I had no idea I was offending anyone.
I didn't take superlory opinion the wrong way I just disagreed with him. In my opinion you can't value a model based on a different model entirely and a much cheaper more common one at that. This goes throughout life not just in the world of replica watches. I did try and check the value of the 036 but I couldn't find anything through a search here and definitely nothing has gone through m2m that I could find. The price he suggested I just simply said I'd rather keep the watch at that and start wearing it again.
I must admit I haven't searched for any movement prices, I will research the movement type and then take a look. The movement has no value to me. Whether it be $10 or $50 or exchange for a strap or something I don't really care but I just want it to be a fair trade. Once again sorry, I wont bother you again

Many of the people come here without knowing a great deal about things. However, as much as possible we direct them to research things as the information would most likely be available in the forums. Also the brand sections are about knowledge on the different rep models, but that does not include valuation. I allowed your PAM036 thread as it was an uncommon model and maybe some of the PAM036 owners could chime in. However, such threads historically don't go down well. In fact, people suggesting pricing lower than what you expected were either ignored (one that mentioned $280 from DSN or $228 plus shipping from the usual suspects) or with less than appreciative comments (SuperLory's comparison with the PAM176 he just bought). That was a lapse of judgement on my part thinking it would go any other way.

Anyway, it seems you have decided to sell your watch for £250. Good luck. As for your movement, if you think the movement has little or of no value to you, then maybe you could indeed trade it for a nice strap or something for someone who thinks it's worth the value you are asking for it. Feel free to "bother" me, or not, if that is your wish.

The guy that said he bought and sold the same model for 240 euro I acknowledged. This is what I was looking for, some historic proof of a sale of the actual model I'm trying to value after my search come up with nothing. Based on that I decided £250 with a couple of NATO straps would be fair. I checked some usual suspects and found nothing for $228. I know I paid a lot more than that albeit a long time ago so it can't be the same model unless it was a clearance price

The watch has value to me as I still like it and I can wear it anytime, the movement has no value to me whatsoever. If I was told the movement was only worth $20 or something I would have just given it away to a member. I'm really not here to try and profit

I did try and search value of the movement in the parts area since my telling off but again found very little. Only a few cases. I'm probably doing the wrong search though ha. I think I will read the rules on the trade section and put both the items mentioned there and see what offers comes back. I can't be doing with overpricing it in some people's eyes and getting a backlash because they were once in a td sale or a tale of how their mate Dave picked one up at a car boot sale for 50p

Sorry again I didn't realise asking a value was frowned upon here. It's something I won't do again. That aside I appreciate all the other panerai advice you've given me[emoji1362]
