Ok everyone. I need help on this one. My beloved Pam 187 with 7753 movement has suffered it's first problem. My quickset pushed has come loose and fallen or broke off. I still have the head but it will not screw in nor will it function. Is there a fix for this? Can I fix it myself buy removing movement? Does the function work similar to a crown stem?

Sending back is not an option as I bought it from Lay when it first came out. Someone help.

Probably have to replace the quickset button assembly if something is broken. You may want to check with other TD whether they can help to repair at a cost. Most of the time they will have to change the case. Or see whether you can get a new case from TD or used one.

well the good news is, your not alone with this issue. Many people with the 187g had and will eventually have the same problem. I dont think there is a way to fix the pusher so that it will work again but you CAN epoxy it back in place. If i remember correctly the 7753 movement does not have a hack date change, but you can advance the date by cycling through the time set function.

Yes it does but advancing thought the days takes........well days.

It is still a good option though, what Joe says. If you use it from time to time it will only need to be advanced a few days.

I have another watch that has a broken quick-set, and if I want to wear it and I see it´s been three weeks ago, I will wait another ten days so I don´t have to wind it too much. But that is a shitty watch, so it doesn´t matter. Yours is nice. I love mine!

Good luck!
