PAM 196 - Using Chrono

Hi All,

Just bought a PAM 196 chrono from TS Watch. Lovely unit.

I read that using the chrono can result in failure. Could someone please advise on the definition of using the chrono function. If the seconds hand is running all the time, is the chrono in use technically? Or is it a matter of using the stop-start pusher buttons to stop and start the chrono function.

Thanks in advance.

The seconds hand is indeed running all the time, but it's the watch's second hand (@9). The chrono's second hand is the central one and only moves when you operate the chrono pushers @2 and @4.

Thanks.

The little hand at 9 doesnt seem to stop no matter what.

Any insights in to how to stop the chrono so as to avoid damage would be most appreciated.

The subdial at 9 is the normal seconds hand, naturally it wont stop at all (it shouldn't).
