PAM 188

Has anyone bought/know about the PAM 188 on offer at http://www.jpc8118.com/pn18801-daylight ... p-876.html ?

I would like to find out how good this REP is and what additional modifications may be required. Unfortunately dealer is not able to show me close up shot of the actual item for sale other than the photos on the page.

Ask yourself these questions first

What level of mods are you after?

- Movt mod?
- date wheel mod?
- reluming?
- crown replacement?
- CG rework?
- repaint subdials hands?
- single AR the crystal?

What is your budget set for the mod?

The pic you posted looks like the newer version with thinner bezel thickness that will not accomodate a gen ETA7753. The dial is also off. The subdial hands colour are incorrect.

Save yourself alot of time and trouble and buy the 7753 version... There are still some mods that need to be done, but at least it has a 7753 movement and correct date advance system.

Notice that the date window is incorrectly placed on the 7750 versions... that is an immediate tip off that the watch is a fake. Not to mention the recessed date wheel. Buy the 7753 with correctly placed date window and correct date wheel depth.

All the rest of the mods are a cake walk after that!
