so i've been wanting to pull the trigger on a 187 for quite some time now but i've read numerous posts where members say to wait as there should be a new version out this year with the 7753 movement..

My question is what is the benefit of the 7753 over a fully serviced 7750.. Is it just more reliable or is it that it needs no modification for the chronos?

and some dealers advertise a 7750b1.. what exactly is the "b1"

thx

I think the difference is the sunken datewheel on 7750 compare to a raised one on a 7753 .

I think the difference is the sunken datewheel on 7750 compare to a raised one on a 7753 .

This would be the biggest positive. It should also, if the do the case properly, have the date adjusted via a tool/recess on the left side of the case rather than via the crown.

The 7753 clone movement opens whole new worlds of "super-reps"... I, for one, look forward to my current 187 becoming obsolete.
