PAM 187 strap identification help.

Hi All,
on my PAM 187 there is a 26mm, very thick leather strap, brown in colour and well 'aged'. It has the tattoo markings on both sides and the 'dp' logo on the point of holed side. I am not stating it is a gen strap (that would be nice though) however I may wish to get another, maybe black one the same. I find it hard to believe it is a strap a rep would come with as the quality is much better than normal.

Can anyone identify it's origins.

I'm a bit unclear on what you mean by tattoo markings. Do you have any pictures? Anyway, my guess is that strap's a level higher than a standard rep strap although still not aftermarket. The markings on the underside show "OFFICINE PANERAI" so it's trying hard to be a gen strap although AFAIK OP (I think that's what you saw at the end of the strap, not DP) never made such a strap with minimal stitching.
