OK, so I was just looking through some gen pics, comparing to my new (well to me new) 183g. I noticed that all the gen pics I find have really white numbers and hands (lume) and mine is a yellowish tint.

Can anyone tell me if this is because my why this is? Is it because my watch has been superlumed?

Thanks.

EDIT: I have included a crappy photo comparison. You can see the difference by comparing the numbers to the "Panerai" and "Radiomir" font.

Maybe it's because your watch has been charged a little with light, or maybe your watch is a little off in color.

If you put your watch in the dark for a while, and see if it gets white. My 183 looks pretty white to me, but I didn't have the dial superlumed.

You're right, yellow-ish lume color is very common on PAM reps with sandwich dials. At least it's not green like on some "sausage" dial 001 and 111 F/G series reps :)

Nevertheless it's considerably easier to re-lume sandwich dial compared to painted/sausage one, to the color of your choosing :)

What I particularly like about 183G reps (Radiomirs are not my cup of tea, but anyway) is the fact rep dial makers managed to recreate almost 1:1 identical dial, with correct numeral and stick hour markers cutouts, as well as the correct cream (almost light beige) dial text color, just like the gen.

Sadly, they have a long way to go with sandwich dials on their H-series 44mm historics like 111, 112, 176 and 177.

cheers,
