Well, I went on a buying spree this weekend for new items to sell. While I was there, my dealer began to show me some of his better Panerai's. In the process, he handed me a Radiomir Black Seal, with the sandwhich dial and the swan neck regulator. All I could say was "WOW!"

I made the mistake of trying it on, and now I have to have one. Wow, what a watch. I went home and began to research the real deal. I know I don't have his in hand to compare, but that rep looked perfect. I highly doubt that there would be any easily found differences even in a side by side comparison. That even applies to the movement, which is the Unitas movement.

Well, I guess I know what my next watch is going to be. Now, what can I sell from my personal collection to get up the cash?????????

I know the feeling WBK. I have the pam bug bad right now. I am considering the sell of my franken explorer 1 and my precious vintage 5513 to fund my new addiction. The 183 is realy calling my name right now, but so are those GMTs. Damn these pams.

My dealer also had the GMT's. They were real nice, and they were less money, but the 183 was exceptional. WOW, I can't get it out of my mind.

Unfortunately, I need tires for my car, so this is going to have to go on the back burner for a while. (sigh)

WBK, there actually is a big difference. I know most will I am nitpicking but I actually think not. I own the rep and I took it to a AD and compared it almost side by side to the gen. The giveaway is the shape of the watch.
Gen looks much much much more squared. Rep is round... I guess people call it the pillow case part... is too round compared to the real thing. I was quite disappointed. This is something my wife noticed too.

Hope this helps.
