Hi guys,

Would someone be so kind as to measure the thickness of their 183 and 380?

I'm looking at buying one as a dress watch and would like to know which would fit best under a cuff.

Yup, ales guide is very good but I have found conflicting info elsewhere on the web.

For example, Ales guide states that the 183 is 15mm thick but I've seen elsewhere that it is 13.5mm thick.

Also, the guide states that the 380 is 15mm thick whilst I've seen 15.2mm thick elsewhere.

I really want the thinnest and best Rad. rep to wear as a dress watch and this looks to be the 183.

Honestly you wont notice much of a difference between the two. I have a 380 and it fits very close to the wrist in terms of thinkness (thinness). Both are beautiful watches and can easily be pulled off as dress watches under the cuff.

I have just started on the path to the rep world and just got my 1st Pam 111 awaiting for my next Pam005 arrival. I have already set my eyes on bakeka custom straps. To me Pam is so captivating because entire outlook changes just with a single strap change!
Good Luck with ur search!

Hi friend
It is no easy to decide for one only thickness when you are writing a GUIDE
Usually I have got the greatest thickness to avoid problems
There is no reason to have different thickness between 183 and 380 because they have the same movement and case (although different caseback)

There is no difference regarding wearing between 14 or 15mm. Therefore there is no noticeable difference for you

You can consider a Thickness of about 13,5- 14mm for these watches depending on versions
I think it would be better I correct the guide to put 13,5 or 14mm for these current watches.

Anyway the most important for you is the shape. These Radiomir cases have a cushion shape that seems less thick than other more "square" cases.

These Radiomir are really comfortable in this regard. Even the 388 or 505 automatic are very comfortable too
No worries about that

Good points, Ale.

I hope you didn't think I was running your thread down, I was just seeking clarification.

Does anyone have a photo or two of a 45mm Rad next to a 44mm Lum showing their thicknesses?

Also, what is the total length (from one set of lugs to the other) of the Rad? My 44mm Luminor just fits my wrist 6.5 inch wrist.

i dont have have a side by side shot at the moment as these are quick photos I took a bit ago. Not the best quality shots I grant you. However, I can say the Rad wears a little thicker to me as it does not hug my wrist like the Luminor does. It sits off a little in height because of the pillow effect. But it is very comfortable. I have a little over a 7in wrist and the rad goes to the wrist's edge, top and bottom.

You have to note that your 388 is also an auto which wears thicker than the standard 6497 equipped rads. Manual wind Radiomirs for me always wore closer to the wrist than the luminors with the same movement.

In essence the 380 and 183 are the same watch one is just sandwich dial with open CB and the other is sausage with closed cb. The difference in height between the two is negligible.
