First, this is my fourth transaction with Mark. All have been flawless.
Sure, there have been plenty of posts about this watch. And there are thousands of members with ten times more watch knowledge than ol' tommy boy.
But I will paraphrase here: "I don't know much about Panerai, but I do know what I like." And I really like this watch! On with the show.
Mark ran a promotion two weeks ago. I received the tracking number on the 18th and it arrived today.
It was protected by the nice skin which presumably is there for the Ti case's benefit:
At some point, he ran out of rubber straps. So mine came on leather. Not just the usual crappy rep croc, oh no.
Nice high cannon pinion. The thick crown guard hugs the case nicely. The lever is crisp and feels secure.
I get the criticism that the crown is very close to the case, but I could care less. I can easily set and wind it.
The movement is fine enough. Swan neck regulator, etc.
The lume is the best that I have seen out of the box, no doubt.
