PAM 177H from DSN

Im about to pull the trigger on the 177H from DSN. But im wondering a couple of questions from owners of this watch.

The Officine Panerai logotyp on the movement of the watch - is that engraved in the metal, or is is just letters glued on like Josh's repl? I read also that the strap quality is so so when it comes delivered with the watch. It it totally worthless and fake leather. Or is it just a matter of taste? Otherwise i'll look for a real calf or ostridge leather strap. Example pictures is welcome :wink:

You should def get another strap as the ones that come with them are not so good quality. Check out TC straps and HKTan in the Acc dealer section. You can get some good ideas there. Also Savage has been making some prety awesome straps and they are unique since he just started making them.

As far as the watch goes I got mine from The Prince for a fraction of the cost from Davidsens. REad a thread in the Eyecandy and a memeber posted his pictures of his 177 from him.

But im after the real deal crystal + superlume. I guess Davidsen is the only one doing this work to the PAM's. Thou's the higher cost...

Very true, I plan on luming mine and fixing the cannon pin myself so I opted for the less expensive route.

Well,

I've done it! I just pulled the trigger and did a WU to Davidsen... Nothing but the best for me ... Gaah. My wife is going to kill me, i just received the Omega PO chronograph last week so there went another $300. And now $400 more, I guess i have to go into hiding in Afganistan with the Talibans.

Dont forget to put up some pictures when you get it. I ordered mine with an extra black strap (+ TI buckle). I'll post pictures when i get mine too. Is yours sent out yet?

Nope not send out yet, He sad he would sent it out ones the bank wire got transfer. I looked today and it supose to be on his account so I wait and I wait

Im so impacient so i did a WU instead.. Cost me $40 (damn theives!) and a long interregation from WU's customer service due to the usual frauds going on through them. I hope Davidsen finds another safe/cheap payment method in the future.
