Not heard of a rep of this as it’s pretty new but looks amazing and seems relatively easy to do and being reported as a successor to the 372

47mm case
P.3000 movement

Maybe it’s just me but do the indices seem slightly thinner than the 372?

Anyway would love to see this repped in 2025

Well of course I like it but I don't really see the point making the same watch again... oh, yes this one has slightly faded dial and a bit of texture... c'mon they could have made anything with this case.

I agree with Kilo - I 'like it' but why on earth would I pay over $10k for one when I can buy a perfect / full set 372 for less than $5k? For a little dial texture and gradient? Nope...

Would no way buy the gen even if I had the money. Not sure what panerai are thinking with the price but it’s a great addition to the current lineup and would make a great rep if someone other than HWF took it on.

Or maybe even Belkin comission from me one day..

Another day, another new reference for Panerai...

It's one of those marketing 101 books no ? If you want to drive up your brand and sales you can't have 500 products all so very similar, it just dilutes the message

I love it and sadly won’t be repped. 10k is a bit much for the gen.

Panerai are getting desperate to keep the dwindling existing customer base. Meanwhile they lack ideas how to appeal to new customers.

Sad

I think it’s good to keep the 47mm alive, lots of brands have gone small to match current trends (or a way to cut costs on materials 😂)

We need some exceptions to that in the market and flagship watches like this draw people in and get discussions like this going

I dismissed this earlier in the thread - however I was in London a week or so ago and stopped in to the Bond St boutique. They had a 1628 and I have to say I was really impressed with it. I did not realize that it has the 'patina' steel case, which really sets it apart from the polished cases and the dial is lovely IRL. As usual, the OEM leather strap is dog shit.

I now have an old KW 605 on the way to Belkin for a 1628 build - because although I really liked the gen, I would still never pay $10k for it.

I concur.
Especially if it is part of your heritage as a brand. Manual winding and 44/47mm is something they are doing less and less and they should do more to find their place on the market.

Of course.

Otherweise Watches will became like modern Cars here in EU...all identical !!

Every brand has its style, and particularity...a 39 mm PAM is not a PAM at all !!

A 4 Cylinders Mercedes C63 AMG is not an AMG aymore in my opinion :D !

I agree. And a 42mm version of the 111 with a decorated ETA 6497 as an entry option at around $4k would probably sell like hot cakes.

Can't wait to see Belkin's interpretation of this! Was on the fence about doing the same. Have a spare 372 kicking around in the drawer that I was contemplating using for this type of build
