Pam 1312 owners - strap choice??

Hi guys

Well i have to admit, im a bit of a strapaholic - and they all look great on my pam's. Well... thats not precisely true - each one has 1 or 2 straps which suit it better.

Im struggling to find ones that match the 1312 though. The Asso (both dark and light) makes the face a bit too dull. The shark just doesnt pop. The light brown gator washes it out. The blue i have is too blue and looks horrible.

What are people wearing with there 1312's?

i wear mine on an oem black gator with beige stitching (default strap that comes with the gen). but of course you could go non-oem and get a similar strap for a lot cheaper and have the same look.

So the real oem is biege stitching and not white stitching like the rep?

It seems the black gator may be the only one.... only other one i saw close was the blue from the 688 is ok.

Yes, they call it "ecru' stitching.

the strap is actually called alligator black with beige stitching (as per Panerai's website) the one with ecru stitching is the one that comes with the gen 312. i bought mine from the Panerai boutique here in Singapore where i actually had the chance to try on the gen 1312 and did a comparison to a 312 they also had, and the stitching was indeed beige. matches the lume of the 1312 much better than the "white" stitching as well.

you can also try the oem black calf with beige stitching (yes it's actually also beige, not ecru), the same strap that comes with the gen 359 and now 1359. or you could always do a black gator with black stitching?

I'm wearing my 1359 with a brown, padded Orloff. The stitches match the color of the lume and the brown strap color compliments the blue seconds hand. Beautiful combination.

That's the picture Mario sent me after he finished the strap, not sure if it's actually mine but it looks exactly the same.

here's a combo i use sometimes: OEM ponte vecchio. Love the vintage look and feel of the strap, it's pretty thick as well
