Hi Brothers from Singapore and all other parts of the world !
Got my PAM 127 "Fiddy" in April 12. It came with a relatively good crystal in my own opinion.
I was awe by the craftmanship from Mr Creme De le Creme. I knew that its definitely worth beautifying this baby.

Took it side by side with my Gen Ball Engineer Master II Aviator to show its size. Craftmanship is on par if not higher than the BALL.

In case you wonder how's the lume bewtween a PAM and Ball. Here's a shot of both after 30 mins in darkness.
Though PAM lume doesnt last but the initial lume power is extreme bright and i actually prefer it to BALL. BALL's lume is only visible in pure darkness not even shades.....

Here's a shot of the GEN PAM 127 movement :

And here's Noob PAM 127 :

Life was so good before some experts pointed out the flaws and the more i look at it the more i find those tell tale sign obvious. Damn !
Here are some of the basics :
1. Pointy cannon pinion on the dial. A nipple is so visible when you look at it carefully.
2. Y-shaped incabloc.
3. The 2 huge gears. Ratchet and Crown Gears has a gradual slope towards the teeth area. (I have to nail this )
4. Yellow FONTS !!! Damn its supposed to be GOLD.
5. Longer Swan Neck Screws
6. The tanned calf strap that came with NOOB...its a gorgeous and comfortable strap but the texture alone is a tell tale sign. Go google the GEN Cashmere Fiddy strap and you will know what i meant.
There are others flaws but i guess they are too minor that i wouldn't need to touch on it.
My 1st step is to engage STRAPDADDY to source for me a GEN Panerai Fiddy strap.
At the perfect moment, Strapdaddy was offering a OEM Panerai 26mm Burgundy Calf Strap :

After doing a bit of research, my watch was finally sent off to mod :
Left (After), Right (Before)

1. Ratchet & Crown Gears rectified
2. Stock replaced with ETA Y-shaped Incabloc
3. Font color changed from Yellow to Gold.
4. Did a polish for the Cannon Pinion to be rounded and mirror shine as per gen.
All except for the longer regulator screw which i did not manage to source for one. But anyway, very satisfied with the overall look. 99.8 % Gen.
Here are some shots took today 31st Dec 2012 :

Another definite keeper of mine PAM 243M v2 with KAIN Heritage Shark Strap :
Definitely the best out of the box PAM rep for all to start with. Flawless piece of jewel.

One final definite keeper of mine : The AP Diver V3.5. Supreme craftmanship over all my PAMs.

Gen BALL Watch and ROLEX Datejust which i seldom wear as compared to the PAMs and AP !
Thats all folk ! Happy 2013 to everyone. Wishing all good health and wealth !

Care to share some photos of Marlin's 127 ?
Does it have blue hue on the sapphire crystal ? Accurate dial and hands ?
DSN's has blue hue on crystals and their movement engraving are quite inaccurate.

This forum is awesome. I was looking to buy a 127 but now after reading your great tell-tale tell-all I now know that the one I was looking at is terrible rep and will not get it. Thanks for the time you put into doing this, now if I can just find one like yours I will be great.

I think differently. After joining this forum, it open my eyes to the wonders of modding watchs.
I enjoy the process of "Genify" or franken the watch. Of course it would be good if Noob were to release something with less flaws.
Its part of the business strategy to release v1 , v2 and v3 , each with some minor improvement to get you craving for more. = )

would love for noob or other makers to update the 127 with fixes like at least making the font gold and the dial more correct. Just the aesthetics stuff that makes it easier to detect right away.

Yup if noob ever comes with a perfect crystal. Existing owner like me will buy again.
Received tons of pm regards to the 127. Tried to reply most pm but i am sorry to those forum stalkers (registered but did not post and loom around only).
