I know I'm new here, but I have a vested interest in this since I have one of these on order.

There is still a problem with the crystal. It looks like the problem is that there is not a completely smooth transition between the rounded edges and the main face of the crystal. You can actually see the edge of this transition quite clearly in these new pictures. If you had one in your hand I would bet you could feel this edge.

It is this reason why you are getting sharp breaks on the numbers and hands rather than just "smooth" distortion as in the early batches of these reps.

agreed. on this watch the crystal doesn't appear to be a perfect dome.
I see a clean break line, which is the problem these had in the second batch.
it's not as bad as the second batch at all, but it's still there.

the pics Ryan had though showed one with what appeared to be no
break line at all, and I commented that it looked fine. so I guess, just like
before, you don't know if you'll get a good one or an okay one.

That looks like a line on your dome crystal which makes the number looks distort (cut half)
