PAM 127 dilemma

I have quite a few Pam including 438, 425, 582, 111, 508, 292 and etc. I've always tried to buy the best models and knowing they are top notch change out their straps and wear them rotatingly albeit some more then others.

My issue is with my 127 that I bought in one of my trips to the "watch shopping center" in Shenzhen, Guangzhou some 18 -24 months ago. At the time of purchase, it seemed like I got a very good specimen although I didn't know what factory it was from, at a reasonable price (USD 300+) when there wasn't a super rep or cease to exist Noob versions in the market. When I got back and after wearing it a couple of times, I noticed that the hour hand are extremely short. That really bugged me and as in all things, once you notice it's impossible to forget. The 127 slowly gets less wrist time since then and I got really busy with work. After a 12-18 months of not visiting this forum, I'm back and started buying reps again (Pam 87) being my first purchase followed by a few more....

Knowing that I have my 127 sitting around irks me. I like the model a lot and want to do something as I want to wear a PAM127. I've posted some pictures of the watch and I could either change the hands to the appropriate length (our TDs say they can't find but I'm sure there are available) or Sell and replace it with the current best. (KW?)

Can anyone help out and tell me which maker is this? Is it worth just changing the hands or are there more faults that I'm not aware of? I would appreciate any advise so that I can make the right decision.

Thanks for reading and apologies if the post is too long. I appreciate any advise or views given

There is a modded one in m2m right now that would fix all of your problems.. [emoji6]

I'd recommand just sell this off and get the most current V6F model:
http://puretime03.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Pam127

In my untrained eye, the incabloc, the engraving in the back, the hour hand seems off. To source correct parts, send to watch Smith who's willing to work on it... consider the time and cost involved, it'd be faster to just buy a new one...

Just my 2 cents, because I went through similar dilemma with my DSN Pam127.

I sold my DSN 127 as well. I bought a Noob with upgrades on the movement. I'm going to switch it out with a Marlin movement.

the movement engravings looks like they are just decorative plates. and are completely wrong also.

IMO you should just cut your losses and sell it off cheaply and get the V6F 127.

@Godly35 @erick510 @NickOT Thank you all for your feedback... really appreciated.

I'll likely buy a correct PAM127. Need to read up a little on the best stock version, which I believe is the V6F. I've never sold any watches before so I guess this will be the first.

@evilpenguin Thanks for the pointer... need to consider since its higher priced.

I would have to agree with the others, get yourself a v6/kw or even a ZF... either would be superior to the version you have currently.
