i brought my first Pam almost two months ago. It is the Pam 125 which has a power reserve:

I really like this watch. However, I thought a 40mm Pam would be huge compared to my Rolex. Now that I am up to 8 watches and a few are 44mm this Pam seems small. Also, I want one that has the works done to it by someone like Davidsen or Vac. So, I dare to ask if you had to get just one, what would be the perfect Pam? I am really thinking Titanium, some type of water resistance, but 47mm is just too big.

So please let me have it :!: :D And thank you ahead of time for the advice wich I always take to heart from members of this forum...

Well, everyone's answer to what's the first PAM to get is invariably the 111H. Since you brought up Ti, I'd humbly suggest a 177H, same dial, just Ti cased.

Good luck.

Shyaaaat you beat me to it.

Guess what i'm gonna say?

"If you had to have one 44mm PAM, get the 111H... Oh wait, you want a Ti? Well get the 177H that is a 111H with titanium case."

I'm sure people will follow up with the same... unless they want to be special!

Well Im just gonna add that if in the begining you were thinking that the pam 40mm was gonna be huge and now you're going 44mm, trust me man in another couple of weeks after you're first 44mm pam you;re gonna be looking at them 47mm, it never fails to happen.

Just look at it this way, since pam's are also very thick, then the wider the pam, the better proportioned the thickness is spread out on your wrist (this is true for luminor cases mostly as radiomirs are not as thick).

When I put on a 40mm luminor pam now, not only do I think it looks a bit small and shifts easily to one side of my wrist, unless I cut the circulation of blood with the strap  , but it also seems to look too thick compared to the 44's or 47's (when in reality it is the same or less).

I think proportion plays a huge role in the asthetics of pams, so it's something to keep in mind.

Whatever you get, I hope you enjoy it and theres always "the next one".

Cheers
