I'm sorry to ask such a noobish question but I'm going to be completing my order for a PAM 112 and the rubber strap that comes with it has to go. I found this lovely strap here http://k-straps.com/Shrapnel-Series.php and didn't know what size I would need for the 112. Can someone more familiar with PAMs give some insight? Thanks!

You will need the 24mm strap (lug width). Measure your wrist for the correct length!

Thanks! How do I go about measuring my wrist? I'm used to wearing a $30 Casio and I just take the links out as needed.

You could use a measuring tape

But you can also use a 25-30 cm ribbon of paper, contour your wrist , to take the dimension of your wrist with a pencil mark on the ribbon and then measure the length with a ruler.
ADVICE: You had better having the help of other person to get it easier. Otherwise the job will be less precise and harder.

I really appreciate all the help with this. I'm having the strap made and just wanted your opinion before I send payment. I measured my wrist and I'm right at about 7 inches. He recommends 80/125 length strap. Will that be too long? I don't want to pay for it and get it just to be the wrong size.

Size is about right, the standard that most strap makers use is 125/75 for 7" wrists. Now you might have one part that looks a bit longer but it all depends on how thick your strap will be. The shrapnel can be 4-5.5mm thick, depending on your preference. If you select going towards 4mm, your strap will have a longer tail (the end of the strap that's sticking out near the top of the watch head). Towards 5.5mm, it will be shorter. No worries. :D

He recommended 4.5mm thickness and said it would be good. I just don't want to have the strap extending past the watch head is all.

It won't. Here's a reference picture just taken this morning. Black ammo 5mm thick, 130/80 strap from Zurco Straps on my 5218-201A. I have 6.25" wrists.

As you can see the tail is there but not extending beyond the lugs. I have a longer strap by 5mm, but it's thicker by 0.5mm plus you have a 7" wrist. So you should be fine. :)

Thank you, this helped. I went with the 80/125 4.5mm with brushed sewn in buckle. I think paired with the 112 will be a sexy beast indeed.

Just here to help when I can. :) My 5218-201A is an all polished setup with a brushed Submarine buckle on it so I have no doubt the your sewn in brushed buckle will be outstanding with the 112. :D Post pics when you get it.

You can bet I will! I'd never even heard of Panerai until I found this forum and didn't like them at all at first but when I imagined what the 112 would look like with that strap it was all I could think about lol
