PAM 111N can you spot the backside differences?

Two different watches, same one always on left and same one always on right.
Which one do you like better?
What differences do you see?

Honestly, the only difference that "I" can see is that one is on the left and the other is on the right... :biglaugh:

The incabloc had been shaped .
And also , the swan neck screw doesn't touch the dagger .
The original screw of the swan neck is very loose , be careful don't make it off from the swan neck and stop your movement .

Knew Goin would spot more than just the incabloc
There are a few other things as well if anyone wants to guess

Is the left one the latest PAM111 N from Noob? I'm still waiting for my Noob PAM111 N, hope the incabloc will be like the left one in your photo...

As far as movement goes
One on the right is the latest type from Noob and what I would expect

The Y-incabloc does not come OTB from the TDs. But there are modders who either sell the 111N modded or can perform the mod.

Hi roger
In a quick inspection the differences I see (on left side) are as follows
- Incabloc modified with Y-shape
- End shape of the support of the Swan Neck spring (more close to gen)
And I miss
- The change of the screw because it is a Noob SHORT screw (you could put a more close to gen H maker screw or a gen from an old movement)
- Cosmetical position of the screw, because the screw tip doesn't touch the regulator lever (the Swan Neck will never work but it must be cosmetically correct)
Read about that matter:
“SWAN NECK†(Part I) – What is this? How does it work?
“SWAN NECK†(Part II) – Does it work in replicas?
“SWAN NECK†(Part III) – Statistical Analysis of faults and reliability in replicas

Thanks ALE,

Left is a modded noob 111n
Right is a unmodded noob 111n

Both are high beat

ALE: to confirm screw must touch the regulator dagger? So I should adjust that?

Work was not done by me
Main purpose of the post was to show that even in macro photos some of the issues we discuss / complain about are very tough to spot
For most paying extra to make minor changes is likely not money well spent

I am not unhappy with the mod work and was fine with paying a little more for the changes but IMO if I just posted pics of the modded movement and listed the mods everyone would be impressed vs showing how minor in fact the changes are.

The Y incabloc most all notice if they know what to look for
I can spot it now quite easily looking at images or an actual watch in hand
The other things are very hard to notice and much harder to notice in hand, you really need a loupe

The full list of differences from what I am told, ALE would love to hear your opinion on these
(sorry my terms are off)
Y-incabloc mod as discussed
Screws in regulator area as discussed
Swan neck shape as seen by ALE

Others include
Crystal pressed flush
The 3 gold wheels in the back that make up the drivetrain have been brushed (they are polished gold on the unmodded)
Was told the 2 silver ratches wheels have been replaced with I believe ETA low beat wheels to better match the gen
Lastly; the etched vs engraved serial
Number but that is because the modded one is a couple of months newer than the unmodded
Should add strangely the rest of the engraving on the older one is deeper
Still looks better with the serial engraved but kind of stupid to take a step forward while also a step backward
(though commonly the case in rep world)

Modded Movement was also serviced

Hi Roger

Firstly congrats Goin because he has seen the moods too.

Congrats Roger for your mood. Really in this hobby we all are searching perfection and yoursone is a new approach to the gen. Only the mood 111 of Goin looks a little better. Read here:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/pcteam-panerai-opxi-113823

Of course the moods are not very noticeable but they are there if the observer knows the gen. This is the same with all improvements in this hobby much money and few improvement.

YES THE TIP OF THE SCREW (like said also by Goin) MUST TOUCH THE REGULATOR LEVER (dagger). The Swan Neck will not be functional but it will be cosmetically correct. Read the Sticky threads about Swan Neck

Really almost all modds need a lens to be noticed or enlarged pics.
-Y-shaped Incabloc very evident
-Short Screw very evident
-Screw doesn’t touch the dagger- very evident
-Swan Neck end shape. Evident for a person very connoisseur of this device and with experience in them. Always with a lens or big enlarged pics, of course !!
- Modds in wheels – impossible to see in these pics (TBH, I was searching for differences and I didn’t find them)
- Crystal, easy to see if you are looking for. TBH I didn't looking for that, and so, I didn’t see it. Few noticeable and curious modd.
- Engraving of serial number, in the pics both seem the same. TBH I tried to see differences and I didn’t find them. Yes strangely the rest of the engraving on the older one seems deeper. But perhaps is more dirty of the angle of the pic.

In short an interesting modd, Congrats
Just tighten the SN screw

Thanks ALE for the insight
Of course Goin deserves mention for noticing differences as well

Very impressed with goins 111 modded movement. Have an ap diver in his capable hands right now for some mods that I am very excited about!

Will get to work tightening that screw!
