The 111h is a good watch to start out with. Just make sure you know something about the watch and something about Panerai. There's nothing worse than having some WIS give you the 20 questions on your watch and you can't even answer one of them.

WIS: Watch Idiot Savant. As far as I know it generally refers to people who are keen on all the makes and models as well as the workings of a watch.

Some are real experts in the field of watchmaking, some are hobbyists, and some are just plain idiots. : )

and for the ones who are interestet, i buy know this one from puretime with the superlume an cannon pin fix, i think this combo with a good strap makes this to a really cool watch
i hope ther are no problems to ship to the eu in ger?

Last time I bought a rep that came already superlumed by the dealer it was an utter disaster (it was a 111h!). The lume had been applied by a monkey or someone with the dexterity of one. Granted, it wasn't Puretime. But my choice will always be a pro lumer like Vac.

but one little last question, if i buy the watch with all the fixes, i could buy a dns for the same price, is it the same watch or is the one from dns much better?? what do the pros say?

Just my 2c, DSN panerais are the best. At least by reading posts around this forum. I was interested in a PAM104 or PAM111h, that's why I've read a lot about these models. The thing is that it's 278$ with all the fixes on puretime, compared to 420$ for DSN (all fixes as well). So I hope there are some differences between the two
So far I didn't buy any, I'm hopping to find a good deal to buy a gen one ! 420$ was starting to be a little too expensive for a rep and I didn't want any other than DSN.

Let us know what you finally decide !

It's a long story. We used to have an incopentent watchmaker/modder hanging around this forum called Rockteer, who took on the job of fixing the poor lume job for me. He never returned the watch, and I assume he ruined it somehow. After months and months, lots of emails, calls etc, he finally sent me some money as compensation for the watch, which he kept. I then bought a modded 111 from a forum member.
