Purchased from ReplicaMake, I received my 111H watch on September 1, order was placed on August 23. Lay was very good communicating throughout the ordering process, and I payed using PayPal, a must for me. Out of the shipping box, after giving it a full wind, it wasn't working at all. I tapped on the back a few times and shook it a bit and finally, the movement fired up and it was working. I thought that odd, so I figured I'd put off my review until I gave it time to see if it continued to work. Just over a month later, its not working at all, after a few episodes of it going in and out throughout the past month.
Love the watch, but love one that works a lot better. Lay emailed me and said I should send my watch to a Joseph Clousten in Florida, who would either fix or replace my watch. Does anyone have any experience with him or any experience dealing with returns/refunds through Lay? He's been pretty good so far in working with me, but...
Here are the pictures:
I paid $118 plus shipping for the watch. I'm pretty sure the crystal on the front is NOT sapphire, as described on the website. The blue AR is extremely noticeable as well. If I get a working watch, I'll probably order a new case that has a clear sapphire from Jackson for $50. The black leather strap isn't very high quality - I planned on getting a new one until this watch died. What I do like about it is the weight and feel are right. I had a genuine, but it was stolen. From what I recall, this watch feels right, but the blue AR is a dead giveaway. Lume is mediocre at best.
For $118, I guess what do I expect...its not working after a month. Hopefully I'll be able to get it fixed or replaced and I'll have a good working watch for years to come, but I'm not all that optimistic at this point. But hopefully Lay will come through and I'll get more than a month out of what I paid for. At this point, I don't plan on buying another from him, unless feedback from the forum says this is one of those things that happens.
