hey guys looking into purchasing my first 111 h pam, saw one at marvellous replicas, but wondered what the description (lite) meant? Pam 111H Lite Luminor Marina
ive looked but cant find info, any info from you guys would be most welcome..
'lite' means it has the same casing, but uses a cheaper movement than the non-lite model. In this case the lite model doesn't come with a swan neck regulator.
I believe the swan neck is used to allow for finer adjustments to the watch's accuracy. If you're not too particular about how finely the accuracy of your movement can be adjusted to, then it doesn't really matter (except in an open-caseback situation like the 111h where it's absence will be an obvious tell as compared to gen movement - then again, I don't know how close the rep movement's swan-neck is compared to gen visually)
typically lite models are purchased when the A7750 runs about $600-$700, and the lite model costs $250-$300. This is actually this first PAM i've seen in a lite version, as the handwinds are usually less expensive. Personally i would go with the swan neck, because without it it's a dead giveaway from the gen.
I would also say listen to coldi about the newer model 111j. It has better daytime color to the lume, the AR is better, and has a nicer CG. http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/new-cartel-111j-out-64025?t=64025&highlight=111j
