Pam 111h Dial

I'm not gonna do this with other reps (and I love my Fakey SMP), but for some reason this Pam has gotten under my skin, and I want to push it a little.
I just took delivery of a 111h from Tetzumaru - as I said in another post it's one of D4's, with swan and modded canon and cg pins, and some very nice panatime straps. I'm ready to send it to vac for lume, and kuch for ar, but before I get the lume I wanted to get a sense from members of whether it's worth replacing the dial (esp. as a great ar job will draw attention to the dial). I haven't been around long enough to be very well informed about these, and I hope you'll chime in, but the "L swiss made L" at the bottom looks a little bit off-center (is it even correct?). It's the only thing that bothers me about the dial, but since I'm getting lume it seems this would be the time to replace it.

So... first question - is this a common issue with these dials? 2nd question - anyone know where I can get a better dial? 3rd question is about the ar - as far as I understand the gen has a single coat on the inside, which I think mine already has. It catches quite a bit of reflection, but am I right in thinking that any piece of glass/crystal/whatever that large is going to do that? That's a lot of real estate there. What's the general feeling about rep ar vs gen? I've tried to do some research, but "ar" is not a very efficient search string. Hoping for some input from you knowledgeable folks...
Thanks.

the l swiss made l on almost ALL reps is off, except LH. DSN's older dial was ok. not the one now as it has a bad hook on the 3. For a new dial it would probably cost 50, and lume of up around 100-150 from vac. For that I would just spend the extra 50 and go with a LH dial. Its the best one out there and comes lumed, you also get hands with it. Sell your dial and hands for 40-50 and you just brought your cost down to 200. Almost the same price you would pay for lume and a new dial. :)

thanks for the response - that's certainly an appealing thought. I'm guessing LH would be little hero (?), but I'm struggling to find a link to his work/place to order

Also interested in the AR question.

I'm pending delivery from DSN for a sw dial pam but not sure if I should ask for the regular sapph with ar or ask him to switch it with a non-ar sapph, what do you think?

I have other dsn reps and all of them have sapph with ar and its too blue/purple and too strong imho, I also had gen pams before and none had such strong or blue/purple ar, I actually dont remember seeing any color reflection on the sapph in the gens except for a slight blue hue/dot on the date mag in the auto's.

Anybody care to chime in on this? would I be better off with a non-ar sapph on a sw dialed pam?

all the 100 to 300 reps 111h have the same dial. if you want the one that is spaced you have to spend more $$$ davidsen, vac, lh might have it but you need to have more than 500$ if you want those kind of reps. out of the box 111h is a really great rep. id advice you not to go into moding instead save up and get a used gen smp

My experience with DSN has been that he won't switch the crystals out for you.
I will say this, you can easily remove the ar coating with a Cape Cod cloth.
If you have some residue left on the edge of crystal, use some polishing compound to
get the rest off.

Yes, but that would require you to remove the dial/hands/movement - not something everyone is comfortable with.

Also, I've "custom" ordered lots of watches from DSN. I've even ordered watches with no AR crystals. Was he out of non-AR crystals at the time you asked him or....? I can't believe he wouldn't build you a watch with a non-AR crystal, there has to be more to it.

Can I have your opinions on the reg ar'd crystal vs the non-ar?
I've never had a non-ar crystal before and cant relate to how different it will look, the only watch I've owned that I believe had no ar was a gen mineral crystal MM20, so wondering if it would look similar to that?

I'm just saying that at the time he said no. This was about 2 weeks ago. He did not say he was out of them. He didn't offer any custom
option either. He must like you better;)

Hmmm, interesting. I wonder what that's about? It's not because he likes me better, he swapped parts out for me when I was a noob. I have no idea what's up.

Yes, IMO, crystals without AR are closer to being correct than most of the "standard" rep crystals. Some of DSN's (and other reps) have had nice, subtle AR, but those are hit and miss.
