Has anyone got a GOOD face on shot of a gen 111G movement? What I want to compare is how accurate the newer G series rep movements are compared to the Gens. The dagger seems a better shape than the H series movement.
Also how does the G series reps compare with the gen versions. I notice the dials are different.

The reg needle on the new E/F/G-series OPXI mov't is the same shape as the one found on H-series reps. S/N is the same also. Swiss ETAs that come in PAM reps don't have dagger shaped reg needle, only Asian do (including the infamous Asian/Swiss E-series 'hybrid' mov't that's been talked about in recent months)

G series reps are much closer to their gens counterparts than H-series reps, simply because the H-series dials (dial txt and 6 & 9 o'clock cotouts) are not as good.

cheers,

In terms of looks, it's the closest G REP movement there is (I believe). I own one of these and they work well. These aren't "100%" "Swiss" though (please notice the quotation marks). There are other threads about this movement, if you want to search for them in this forum.

I think they're overpriced.

Close, but not 100% true. The picture shows E-series 'hybrid', which is 2/3 Asian and 1/3 Swiss, and as you said not Swiss.

The closest REAL_Swiss E/F/G series OPXI rep movement is the one that comes in Joshua's 111G latest, and Eddie Lee's "the best" 127. Paul at Wo-Mart has currently 5 models with this mov't, as well. This one doesn't come with dagger shaped reg needle like the gen, but its finish is much closer to gen's, and since both gen and this rep are modified Swiss ETA's without Asian mov't drivetrain bits, this is to my knowledge the best rep E/F/G-series movement currently available.
