Hi folks-new to this forum and what a great resource. anyhow, i have a quick question-i tried a search, but no luck. anyhow, i ordered a pam 111g and a 063 gmt from one of our reputable dealers. i am happy with both, but upon close inspection, i found that my 111g which has a polished ss body, looks to have a brushed crown guard. is this normal? i compared it with the 063 which has a polished body and polished crown guard and there is a clear difference. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

I believe for E/F/G series it should have a polished CG with a brushed CG lever. The brushed CGs showed up on the Historic line for H series and newer...

G series Historics started the large brushed 201a style CG (same as current. F series historics had the smaller and in the case of the 111 & 112 the polished CG. The G Historic series is very unique, that it has the new case and the 201a large brushed CG but still retained the painted dial and the repetitative engraved panerai brideges on the movement. This is why the G series historics have a bright future where values are concerned.

Yep that's right brushed crown guard from G on for the 111, 112. I had a beauty of a gen 112G (loved the combo of the painted dial with the beefier crown guard) for a while but sold it off in favor of another Pam I still miss it, although my 112F fills the void well enough :)

I recently purchased a replica Panerai Power Reserve. The crown guard came off recently, and I can't find it. Where (if any) is there a place to purchase a replacement?

I bought it while I was in Thailand...yeah I know. I wear it most of the time, and I just noticed the CG was gone. Any leads on finding a replacement would be appreciated.

You could email Trevor or Angus/PureTime, maybe Time4Direct. Davidsen is a possibility, but make sure he understands you need a CG for a "standard" rep case. A CG from one of his rep cases won't fit....

Will do. Thanks, here's a couple pics of the watch. I'm a newb to this, and I want to make sure I convey the correct model that I have.

Not sure, as I wear it a lot. I've emailed a couple from this forum, so hopefully I can replace it.
