PAM 111 vs 177

Hi everyone

After owning several 1950 case Panerai and a PAM 000, I am thinking of jumping boat into the luminor case with sandwich dials and stop with 1950 cases. These two seem very similar yet they look very different due to their case material. Leaning more towards the 177 since the 111 looks similar to my 000 (due to the polished case) but also leaning to the 111 since it is a classic looking Panerai :p

Let me know what you guys think and your opinions :)

Have a good day
Cheers

I love the Ti cases but I think they more often need the right strap. To me, the polished cases, the way they catch the light and change overall appearance, are more forgiving. You probably can't go wrong either way.

Isn't there an new HFAC 111?

Thanks for your input mate :) I heard the same think although the new hfac 111's sandwich dial hasnt got the same depth as the genuine one, the noob v3 is still better in this regard (dial)... Don't quote me on this as I am not too sure myself :p but so far that's what I've been reading :)

Get a 177. Can't beat it. The 111 is nice but somehow to me with polished case it looks more blingy. The 177 on a rubber accordion strap looks purposeful.

You can't go wrong with any of them. The Ti case (PAM 177) is a little bit lighter in weight...

Happen to be wearing mine today... (On a Simona S-Line Bordeaux, that has gained some patina over time.) Perhaps needless to say: the 177 as a watch is more understated, much less of an eyecatcher than 111. I love both very much!

If you plan on keeping your 000, the 177 is the obvious choice. And a superb looking piece at that, I don't plan on giving mine up :)

It's all preference but I would prefer the 111 as well.

Thanks for the input guys... After all I may be leaning more towards the 111 :) the titanium may be a little too light considering I have a 351 I know how light it is. If only they made a stainless steel brushed and not polished :(

I'd go with the 111 as well. For me, personally, titanium is just too soft of a material.
I always try to take good care of my watches, but the one titanium watch I had was just a scratch magnet compared to stainless steel. I don't know how you're planning on using it, but if it's going to get a lot of wear expect to see every little scratch and ding on it.

Same with me, i don't like the feels of titanium in my wrist, too light for me, and all brushed titanium body of pam 177 make me don't like it, i think a pam177 with polished ss bezel will be very nice.

If you already had the 000, then get the 177. There's always something special about a Ti case. The lightness and matte surface are unique. Just something different in your everyday SS case watches.

I'm a noob to the PAMs and I love the 000 but the 111 seems to be the direction I'm going for my first PAM experience.
