Deciding between leather or rubber strap. Which strap looks more genuine.

The straps are always an unknown for Pams since most owners, and even the brand itself, encourage strap changes. I would venture to say any non-cheapo looking strap will enhance the gen-ness. I would go with the rubber since that is harder to get aftermarket.

If you wear it in pool - sea, a rubber one will look great. Otherwise it's a pity to loose the great feel and looks of a leather strap.
Nowadays almost every pam looks like rep. The good thing is that no one gives a sweet...

Wear your watch in private as long as you need to get used to it and feel nice, then wear it as you like and look with mercy anyone that ask about its' genuines.

Wearing a pam with only its' "release" strap it's like having a car only for one route. Makes you look cheap and uncultured about your watch.
