I was happily working today, when I notice the top strap was loose. As soonest I tried to take the watch off the the steam felt off. I did notice the steam was slightly bent. I don't remember hitting the watch. Is this a common problem? I don't want to lose may beloved watch.

steam = screw?

is that what you mean?

if you want to keep the screws for the straps in place, use a bit of Loctite (blue) on the screwthreads..

Yeah that's what I meant. Thanks a lot.

Happens every now and then, rep screws are c...p and often come fairly loose so you need to tighten them upon delivery and some apply a bit of locite once they are sure the strap is there to stay. I'd personally discard the screw bars immediately and put the watch on a pair of fat spring bars from Panatime, and viola, problem solved.
