I have a Pam 111. I noticed that the screw bar that holds the strap in the case is stripped. I know that I could use a little glue, but then I won't be able to switch straps. The screw looks fine I think its the drilling in the case. I just used a little teflon tape and was able to get a sung fit, any other suggestions?

+1 to what COLDI posted.

If your lug screws become stripped and won't tighten anymore, then it's time to use spring bars. :)

I like to use spring bars regardless. It makes strap changing a lot quicker and you dont run the risk of stripping them if they arent already stripped.

I'm all spring bars.. In fact I have no idea where any screws are anymore. These make strap changing very fast.

robertwood - Panerai watches have that problem - the reps and the gens - and just wanted to let you know that Panatime has special springbars made for Panerai that have a "screwdriver slot" on one end. Ostensibly when these springbars are installed you cannot tell them from the original screws.

Personally, I will re-tap the holes to maintain authenticity. The taps aren't that expensive, I have a set and will be able to continue to use the proper screws.
