Hello !

After some looking, i see Noob has finally re-release a batch of their 111 , but it's me of the dial text are different than before ?

Pics from PT

NEW noob v11 batch "R" serie:

"Old" noob v11 , "P" series

pam2020080201-04.jpg

pam2020080201-05.jpg

i can clearly see than the new batch , the text has way more brighter , also seems more whiter, it's "pop" more than the previous batch, it's a new flaw or a corrected one ? this text color , boldness is correct ?
Maybe this two varations exist on GEN dial too , but on pics i found about the GEN, the text appear more creamier than the new batch (R serie) , but more brighter than the previous (P serie)

haha, i lose my mind now, if a expert can help to tell it's this noob is always good / NWBIG ? or they miss their dial ?

thanks !

The V12 dial fonts are slightly thicker.
The older dial font V11 printing is more fine.

I've looked some gen R series and the fonts on the R series are indeed thicker.

I've just ordered a V12 NOOB PAM111, waiting for it

It's hard for me to reason, based on photographs, it's too easy to photograph the same watches differently, especially since the numbers in these photos look whiter, but the bold white font, as I see in these photos, I saw only on the old sausage series 111, if we talk about gen.

Update, it seems the R series is not available from PT.
I just received an email saying "it is out of stock and not available"

I ordered a V12 P series from Trusty. According to them, some changes in the case set, although I'm not quite sure what they changed

Interresting, PT has just put this R series on their new arrivais section ...

BTW, the V12 on trusty seems to have the same "thick and whiter" font ,and for me it's less acurate in terms of color than the previous batch vs GEN :(

I think we need a mix of color of the V11 and thickness of the V12 :p

Blim, let us know when you have it (even QC) it will be better than TD pics to see that font , thanks mate !

The fonts for the V12 PAM111 seem to be correct.
The printing is just that little bit thicker which is the same as the gen, the "A" is also correct when compared to a gen R series PAM111

However, the overall quality of construction seems to have gone down.

It might be true the V12 is no longer made by NOOB and by some "relative" or subcontractor of NOOB. (Andrew seems to have said that NOOB no longer makes PAMs themselves)
Hence the flaws on dial fonts and overall construction.

1. The crown on my was wobbly compared to the PAM000 and PAM005 I have from XF
2. The "A" on the latest NOOB PAM005 is wrong, it is the "A" with the low horizontal line
3. The screw in bars of the NOOB PAM111 are too short and the ends are not flush and polished as per gen (XF did it perfectly)
4. The threading in the case for the screw in bars was badly done. They were really rough and I had an extremely difficult time getting them in and out resulting in scratches to the case
5. I'm not sure which movement (ST36 or some generic A6497) they are using but the winding feels "loose" compared to the XF which is nice and snug. There seems to be some play in the mechanism
6, The crown guard fell off after a couple of uses!!! (That was a shock) The threading seems to be either loose or too shallow. Fixed that with threadlocker
7. The watch is now running 2-5 min slow! This really pisses me off
8. Crownguard alignment finishing doesn't seem to be as meticulous as the previous versions with the lever bulging out ever so slightly.

Positives
1. Correct fonts on the dial, correct “A"
2. Lume seems to be pretty good for a rep, a bit better than XF
3. Crownguard is really tight and snappy, I like that feeling
4. The crystal is really clear (not sure if it is double AR) but it makes the dial really stand out
5. The canon pin on mine was flat

Negatives
- see above
