PAM 111 noise

Question for the members here....I just got my first PAM rep, a PAM 111h, from another member (modded by Goin). I am absolutely in love with it but have been noticing more and more the second hand constant ticking sound. Is this normal? If so, are all PAMs like this? I believe the next watch that I am wanting to get is an H-Factory PAM 390N (which doesnt have the second hand). Will I experience the same thing with that model? Its not that is a complete turn-off for my 111 but if I lean my head on my hand (which I now notice I'm doing a lot) it just sticks out to me.

Seems like that's extreme but the 6497 Asian or gen is pretty loud. All mine are.

Yep

OP- The 390 will tick as well. All PAMs tick...even the gens.

Thanks for all the info. Now to choose my next watch I plan to get next month, the 390N or the Omega Planet Ocean w/ Orange bezel.

I have a 111j and I love sitting at my desk at work with my hand on my head. I find the ticking from it soothing while I'm reading things on my pc. It's almost as good as looking at it.

I have heard both rep and gen 6497 on a rep pam176 and gen 176. in conclusion, the rep was significantly louder than the gen.

I have both (176 actually) and wouldn't use the word 'significantly'; but that doesn't make it the bible either.

Now I see what you mean. Having just received my 026k, the movement in there is quiet as the gen 176 and 114 I heard. The rep 176 I had was loud enough where I can literally hear it from 2-3 feet away. :facepalm:
