Hi all,
Is the first time I post in the forum.

After long time reading and taking my time to decide, 6 months ago I decided to buy my first PAM and the chosen one was the PAM 111, through Puretime.
I was really excited with it.
Since I received it I had several issues:
One minor, as they sent me the watch with the straps mounted in the other way round, so the part with the metallic buckle mounted on the 6 side of the watch. That was easy to fix.
First big issue, was the lost of one of the screw that holds the metallic part on the right side of the case, half round metal piece. I fixed it as I found the screw.
Second big issue, was that the watch was stopping once per day for no apparent reason, for many days. Then it seemed to work well until this week when it start to stop continuously. Probably related to this issue is that I can see a loose screw inside the case.
Are these usual quality issues with PAM Reps or it is just me having bad luck?
Do you suggest to send it back to China?
Should I post it on the Puretime thread?

Thanks for your feedback

Lol. Both common issues with the Pam 111. Regulator screw and CG screws falling out. You need to get them locktighted into place. Stop using/winding the watch until you get it repaired. Likely to do more damage if swan neck screw is loose in the movement.

Have you contacted the TD on the matter? What did they say? Posting a thread on their section isn't the best way. Email is faster if you didn't know about that.

Hi Mysterio,
Thanks for your feedback.
Yes, I contacted them by email, Their answer is, "you can repair it in your local watchshop or send it back to us for repair."
My concern is on sending the watch back to China and then again China to here, without knowing the quality of the repair they would do. That's why I am looking for advice on this matter.
Thanks again

If you have it repaired locally, will they recompense you in some way (either small refund or store credit or some other...)?

Hi Mysterio,

No, they told me the watch is out of warranty...and I should pay, even if I ship it to them I would have to pay the repair. I complained, not sure if they will offer me something in exchange.
Would you trust better a local watch shop or send it to China to be repaired?
Thanks

When did you buy it and why is it out of warranty?

But even if they should repair it for free, the cost and risk of shipping it back to China, and the lengthy waiting time, it would make more sense to have it repaired locally.

I bought it around February, more than 6months ago.... I complained as I sent them emails before about the previous issues.

I will try to find a local watch shop, it will be the best option.

Any recommendation for NYC area?

Thanks

Omontsant there are a few people who aren't too far off who you can bring or send it to. Search oascom and check him out if you like. He's right across the river.
