Hi,

I've been browsing around for a nice Panerai Replica for some time now and after finding this amazing forum I went to check out your recommended dealer PureTime and now I'm a bit confused.

If I look at the pictures on the website, they don't look like the real thing at all. Well, the front is almost spot on but if I compare the see through back it's not even close. Different text, different positioning, cheap looking details and bezel to mention a few differences. However, if I watch the video below, it look exactly like the generic timepiece I'm after.

This is the one I'm talking about http://www.pure-time.com/product/pa...on-on-brown-calf-leather-strap-swiss-eta6497/

I did of course send them an email with this very question and that I'm actually suspecting that they in fact have filmed a real watch but they said that the watch in the video is what I will get when I order.

So now I'm wondering if anybody has any experience to share? Can I really trust them on this one? :helpsmilie:

Thanks a lot!

I see that you are new here. Take some time to read about the model you want. The watch you show is an M series 111 and "outdated". Look for a v3 N series. If you still think it looks to different from gen this might not be the hobby for you.

by the way: puretime is legit and does NOT use gen photos or videos on the website.

Yes, that's true. I know that it's outdated, still in stock though and I've looked at the V3 N also but couldn't find it with a swiss movement.

My concern was that it seems to be different products in the pics and video but since PureTime is a recommended partner, I guess that I will have to trust them.

Thank's for the quick reply.

You wont find a swiss movement. They are long gone. Stick with the asian clone. The v3 n series is the latest and greatest 111 from noob factory. I would choose this one. If you are really bothered by the movement go check out the marlin section for a modded 111.

Alright, you convinced me. I'll try the v3 N. How bad can it be and it's half the price too. Thank's a bunch!

Good decision. Either a noob v3 or a new Hfac will be good. That original Swiss version is horribly inaccurate and overpriced. It might be a swiss movement with the rep plates added, but its also a lowbeat 6497-1 which are fairly inexpensive to buy new. A better version with an Asian 6497-2 would be a much better choice. Later on, doing a Swiss conversion aka Swinese, is always possible.

Get a Noob V3 111. H Factory pams are good and nicely finished but they do not have the gen like finishing. Noob caseback/movement engravings are better too.

Sounds great!

BTW, what about the choice of strap? Is it best to go for the rubber? The general opinion seems to be that the leather ones are not quite as good in quality. On the other hand, this was when I was browsing around in search for a Big Bang a while ago and maybe things have evolved since then and I've never experienced a watch from PureTime either so.

Again, thanks for your time and effort!

The watch from puretime will be the same watch as from other dealers. As long as its from noob. Also its best to go for a rubber strap, however the latest asso strap is a high quality as well..
