Hello, and heads up, novice seeking help/advice.

I bought a PAM 111 in Bangkok last month (sold as a V4, Noob edition).

It has a problem... when I pull the crown out to set time, the crown does not set back into the case after setting time, it just springs back out. However, after waiting for a couple minutes the crown can be pushed back down. I've tried tightening the crown release screw...

Also, when winding there is a definite 'snap' or 'click' sound on occasion and winding seems a bit tense.

I've taken the watch to a couple of horologists but they won't repair reps.

Any help or info would be most appreciated... I've searched all across the forum(s) but haven't succeeded in fing any info.
Thanks

Try loosening the crown release screw 2 turns, take out the crown and put a bit (small amount) of grease on the stem. Put it back in and wiggle it around a little. you will feel if it is sitting in the keyless works properly or not. Tighten down the crown screw and try again. This might take a few try's to get it. If you can't the keyless works is buggered up and needs to be "reset" repaired.

Silicone based grease, such as KT22 micro lubricant. For this you may be able to find something locally. You want a white silicone based grease. Such as an O-ring grease.

Just to finish this thread...

The problem was a worn down winding pinion.

I bought an ETA part off ebay, gave the entire watcha full service, and since has worked great.movment gained about 10sec/per day once the oils got distributed evenly.
