PAM 1068 Blu Notte Gen Pics

The Panerai boutique just got this in and showed it to me. I really like it. The blue sunburst dial was really nice. The overall feel was substantial, but not too heavy. She said the bracelet was thin and lighter than normal.

I cannot find any information on this model anywhere other than KOT’s great post over here. So I thought I would drop some pictures.

PS: Pictured wrist fits perfectly with this 42mm model.

In fact, I have not even seen a single QC VSF PAM1209, but here is a comparison with the photo above, so that you can clearly see that it makes sense to refine it.
I do not know 100% if the blue color of the insert PAM959 - PAM1209 - PAM1068 is the same, but I will take this opinion as a basis.
Obviously, it is worth paying attention to the glossiness of gen lume, and the polish of the crown.

Yes but i hope that VSF release it with the bracelet ! it's the whole combo that make me like this watch so much , and i don't know if VSF will spent some R&D to make a bracelet for this model :/

I would also be very happy, but no one made bracelets for a long time, although there were plenty of gen models, and one generation was completely skipped. VSF loses the thickness of the case over and over again, the shape of the ends does not correspond to gen, therefore sel must be unique.

I would prefer to get them to correct the thickness and shape with the correct case in all collections, and then get a good bracelet that will be universal for them, and then the fires will be able to use it in any 42mm model, with a 22mm bracelet. And better, just like that with 44.

But, as we know, to make them laugh, it is better to tell what you expect from them.
We'll see everything.

I haven’t had much of an opportunity to wear any rep or gen bracelets but I’d like to because I love the references . I just worry rep bracelets will be as bad as rep straps for panerai. Just something in my head and probably not accurate


I was looking through Panerai models the other day and I noticed how good some mew dials with the raised indices.

I don’t think it something I’d get but i do like the way it looks. Also in all the modes I’ve seen this year (they have a silver dial 42 mm on a bracelet right? I know someone can conform or correct me.) with this feature I believe is on a mother of person dial

At the expense of raised indexes with a stand, yes, this has already happened, for example PAM977 even though it's 42mm and VSF didn't do it, there were enough inexpensive 44mm reps on this topic.
At the same time, such indices have been encountered before, for example, in PAM140, or PAM180.

I tried this back on again yesterday. It’s awesome! The blue in the bezel is amazing! I ended up buying gen 1209, because I love the matte black dial so much (they had both in store)! I do love the 1209 blue bezel, but I actually like the color of the blue bezel on 1068 even more! I just preferred the matte dial. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sunburst dial too, but I think I might get the blue sunburst dial on a Luminor instead of Sub.

1209 is stunning as well, but I already have a 024. So a 1209 would be a bit too similar.

Yes, the blue in the two bezels are a slightly different color. No doubt about it.

The 1209 has more purple I would say. They are both beautiful, but honestly I liked the blue of the 1068 more.

I grabbed some good pictures here. I tried to find a dark spot in the boutique to remove the harsh light. We simulated the 1068 on rubber.
