The 299 is essentially a 104 with a steel bracelet
and brushed case. They share the same dial and movement. The 299 is the better deal since you can remove the bracelet in favor of straps and you'd have a 104.

Both watches are similar, leaving aside the inox bracelet on 299

The main difference is the polished mid case and CG of PAM 104

Accuracy and reliability are the same

I would by a PAM 299 and then a customer strap and you will get two different watches

Yes PAKITO , this OEM Strap with deplo it's marvellous and gen-like.
If I'm not mistaken , this model when purchasing in a Panerai Dealer has deplo.
I know "little good" the manual winding , on automatic models have weaknesses.....

Mate, when you buy a gen 299 comes only with ss bracelet.
If you buy a 104 it comes with one leather an one rubber, both for deplo.

I favor 299 over 104, simply because of the bracelet and brushed case and cg. It is also special to see PAM on the bracelet which flows with the case and adds another dimension to the shape overall, very beautiful. If you want it with strap you can always add one, 299 is a pure winner. Good luck.

They need more PAMs on bracelet. the 299 is boring and the 297 is too much like the 088 GMT.

Yes the dial changes from N-series onwards in gen 299
All is commented in PAM GUIDE. Indeed there are data-sheets for K-series and for N & O series

I got the 104 long time ago ...and it ended up being a keeper , shiny case looks more expensive ... the bracelet is a no no for a pam imo, these 104 i bought i think it is from h factory ... it was expensive with really good crystal from the factory ... no need to mood it at that time even the crown guard was really thight
