So I loved my new DSN 089, but the movement lasted about a week before it went south. Davidsen was very good about it and requested that I return it and he would send me another. In the meantime, I solicited help from you lot as to the best strap choice. Someone, to whom I am most grateful, suggested something blue. I didn't like that idea, but that got me thinking green. A quick chat with Savage and I settled on a military green stitchless. I went for the stitchless because the 089 is already aesthetically complicated and I wanted the ensemble to be as simple as possible. Strap arrived, new watch not here yet.... All is now together. The tang on the buckle is from a regular DSN strap because I have to file down the titanium one so it will go into the strap holes. So far the watch keeps great time, but I do wonder at the clunky sound of the pendulum (there's got to be a more correct word). The combo of the military green strap and the 089 is, IMHO, really great! Again, sorry about the mediocre pictures. I tried to crop them in my photobucket file, but the !@#$%^ posts the original, not the cropped.

I like it. I am always very impressed with Savages work. Pictures really do not do these straps justice. This green is beautiful in person.

That strap is a great combo with the anthracite dial, very nice!
