I really want to buy it, but for some reason I have a [BLINK]strong [/BLINK]feeling that a v2/update will come out within a few weeks (same as 111N, "Best Edition Updated with Singled Sided AR Crystal, Matching lume on dial and hands and improved CG with sharp inner arches and flush lever pin")

1. Can anybody confirm/deny?

2. If I do decide to pull the trigger on v1, other then lume, and ar removal what other mods can be applied to it?

3. Asian/Swiss - in general I always buy asian, but because this my first GMT, and I know that the "Swiss" is modified asian for the GMT, is it worth an extra $90. I honestly don't care about an extra $90 I just want to know if it is better.

THANKS!!!

I don't think a V2 would be out soon. These are usually limited runs. I could be wrong but in my experience, the good models sell out fast then it takes a year or three for them to remake it. Look at the Steelfish. V1 was awesome. V2 looks good too but the pearl looks too green. I guess I am saying there will always be an issue with reps, so buy this one and enjoy it then flip it when you want to go new. That's my 2$ from R2. ;)

I will not be able to wait and will pull the trigger this week and order the current 029M.

In reality, the 21J Asian GMT's..>>>

Are considered to be more reliable than those "modified" ETA clones in GMT models...I have several of them and they all work great over a 3-4 year period...
And....They're a LOT cheaper to buy!!:stir::stir:

I usually buy Clone Asian. But this time I have chosen Swiss for my 029.
I have opened the caseback and looks beautifull.
Anyway: Crossing fingers.

Why this time you choose the "Swiss"? I don't mind spending the extra $90 if it's even slightly better. Your thoughts?

Thanks.
