Hi all, Im quite new here so some of my questions may well have been answered in other threds even though I've been looking for a while. My aplogies if thats the case and please advise me to the thred I should be reading.
Anyhow, I'm storngly considering getting a PAM for my first rep. Acctually found my way here, as I guess many others before me, looking for a Rolex but after a couple of days of intense reading took the leap to the PAM section instead. I must say it's way more compelling so far for a number of reasons. Great job with that!
The model I've set my eyes on is the PAM029 GMT Noob v.2 with Asso strap, my selection was made based on the reviews i found so far, calling it a superb rep and a wise choice as a first rep. Also the fact that the TD's I learned have a good reputation supplies the watch had a part in my choice.
What Im intressted in is, ofcourse your input in this matter but also some help with what I should take in mind before finally pulling the trigger. Since the gen model is a Ltd edition I've found it a bit hard to get good pics of the gen to compare it to the rep (Best Iv'e found so far: http://www.chrono24.com/en/panerai/pam-29-a-luminor-marina-gmt-tuxedo-dial-t-swiss-t-dial--id1883935.htm?id=1883935&picnum=0&tab=pics).
Have there been such a comparsion made somewhere? Which are the tells? What are the standard flaws on the rep model and what should I have an extra look at in my QC pics before accepting? Any input on the Sellita vs. Asian movment, worth the extra bucks? As I've understood the Asian delivers the same stability.. Only really negative thing I read about it so far is that the GMT sometimes can get a bit of track.
I just want to clearify that Im not per say looking for flaws and reasons not to buy the watch, I simply want to learn more about it before I make the buy so I can feel confident in my choice.
