PAM 028 Question about modding

Guru's, I am working with DSN to get a PAM 028A, and wonder what holds it back from "Super Rep" status. I assume it is the color of the PVD and the CG. Does anyone reccommend a Noob or H-Facotry PVD Case set that I can swap the DSN Dial and movement into that is Super Rep Status. The only PVD I see is the 026 and that appears to be Destro.

I know the PAM 057 reaches Gen. Status with similar mod's just have not seen anything on this model.

I see what you mean, but it would not work the CG would be upside down. If flipped the Pin side would be wrong. Right? Thanks for input.

Basically two watches are the same and have a fantastic movement the same as gen, Due to that they have such a price.
The DSN case is not perfect, but these watches have a big quality and an awesome movement, due to that they deserve a upgrading in evaluation.
The CG is different (more flat) than current versions.
PAM 028 is more difficult because it has DLC colour and coloured lume, and then it has a little less evaluation.
PAM 057 is really a very very high quality First Class rep, but due the care of general construction and the good movement we have upgraded it to Super rep.
PAM 028 is almost the same, but DLC and lume colour mak more difficult the upgrading.
To achieve an accurate DLC colour you should get a custom DLC, by Kroexist or similar, because pam 028 is pencil lead grey.

As Ale says, the DSN is a pencil lead gray PVD. While beautiful, it's not accurate. A more accurate route might be the hont DLC Pam005 case. Or the kuvarsit pam360 case. The crown guards wouldn't be right however. There's no way around that one without a custom DLC job.

Thanks you are the best. Is there any recommendations on a NOOB Case I can swap the DSN dial movement and case back onto? I figured this is the most efficient and cost effective route. This is also assuming the Luminor cases are same dimensions. I do love the watch and will get it either way, but like you said with Gen. movement for 600 USD shipped it is an easy decision. :RWI:

crown guard can just be flipped too.

You would need to rework the entire case and have to have a custom movement ring made and even then I'm pretty sure the tube height would be different if you went from a noob hand wind case to what you need

H-Factory used to sell DLC auto casesets. That might be great for a more recent version of a 28.
