Hello to all and a Happy New Year!

A couple of months ago I have decided to buy a rep that will stay with me for a long long time...with as little trouble and headache as possible. Of course, it should be a Panerai Rep. After looking around I have decided to give it a go with David Sen and his 027B. Of course the price is extremely high for a rep, somewhere at 650+ with triangle shipping, but hey I've got the original movement. Extremely precise details (of course it had to be no fantasy watch ) did not matter that much, so I went on and purchased.

And now I must state that it was a wise decision. I paid almost twice as much as any other high end Panerai rep, but the DSN 027 is EXTREMELY well built. May be not that accurate as the Noob Super Reps, but sensationally well built. And with the swiss movement it can be repaired and serviced by any watchsmith.

The precision of the movement is sensational, somewhere at about 2-3s+/- WEEKLY. Maybe I just got lucky with that one?

The crown guard lever is crisp, maybe too crisp, and the power reserve at about 44+ hrs.

The latex strap was replaced with a Steinhart leather strap. Makes a whole lot of a difference

With more wrist time also some scratches appeared but that is actually something that does not bother me.

Maybe not as beautiful or perfect as a new rep but in my opinion some time has to pass before I can evaluate a rep....or a gen as a matter of fact.

I have tested it at 10ATM and it passed without problems .
Definitely a great rep and a keeper!
Wishing you all a great year with a lot of reps / and why not a few gens???:laugh:

Congrats. My dream watch would be a 28a. Is there a reason why you chose a b series and not a series? It looks great on this strap! Enjoy it and maybe someday i will join the power reserve club :)

Congrats on your beautiful 027B. Imo this is better than the A series with the vintage lume, good to see some more pix of the B since I'm planning on getting one sometimes soon. Enjoy it in good health [emoji111]?

Beautiful watch, congrats! These watches with the SOPROD module from DSN are pretty interesting and I've been on the fence more than once about buying one, though I'm leaning towards the 028a due to the hobnail dialì I'm in love with :)

PreA - I chose the B version mainly because the A version is marked "T swiss T" and in dim light or darkness some may realise it is not Tritium. The minute differences between Gen and DSN Case or micrometric flaws on the DSN dial are hard to spot without being a PAM expert or having a gen side-by-side.
Whereas Tritium is Tritium on every watch....

@ kilowattore - I know exactly what you mean:whistling-1:....because my next purchase will be a DSN 029 with Tuxedo dial :)

I got this PAM 027 with a 028 dial. Because I like the hobnail and don't like the DLC coating from DSN

Grimlocktime was nice enough to arrange for me this purchase with a nice black buffalo strap

Nice watches !!

hi folks,

as always...it´s a matter of taste - you sure will have fun with the 027B, great choice! I personally like both of them but only got one since then...

Have to admit DSN PR Pams are just amazing beyond mere words. Your nearest kindred here 27A on a OEM Panerai Calf Strap in a cold winter day.

I made my purchase in Dec 2015. I think it is the last piece of 27A that DSN has got at that time. Trust me, it's the best rep I have so far bought, extremely gen-like so that's why I have paired it with a OEM strap.

Hi all,

May I ask whether the pam 028 gen actually has the word 'power reserve' and 'automatic' at the dial?
