hi,

I am new with that hobby, and I want to buy my first rep.

after a research a found the Sead (Supermirrors) deal about the pam 026k.

I have several questions.
is it really worth it to buy a replica watch (as a watch)?
I dont want to buy a rep that will break after a year. but a watch that will run for many years.
I want a watch that won't just look good but also feel good about his quality, is it like that?
if the watch is areal SS with real DLC coating, and a real sapphire crystal, with good movement. than it worth the price.
how can I know that the description is reliable?

do you have any insights, for a new like me, about rep and pam?

thank you for your help

I have one it's been 100% reliable and is a very good rep, the colour of the coating and build quality is very good. I have tried on a gen at £7k and this rep is convincing. BUT if you expect to compare a $130 watch to a $10k watch very, very closely and expect if to be perfection on all fronts then you will be disappointed. If another was wearing would I know it wasn't gen ? no

Is it a quality watch, yes. It is real DLC and has not marked, real SS, sapphire glass is very good, looks better than my 177 Noob. If it breaks send it to a watch smith on this site. My last IWC service would pay for 4 of these reps........

The quality will be much better than you expect and a little worse than you want
Yes, specs are reasonably true. SS is real SS and DLC is a good DLC coming from the best makers. Sapphire crystal are very good too.

The price deserves a try

thank you very much.

i never expected this watch to compete with a 10k$ watch,
i want to compare it to a standard, 130$ watches.
i guess you can understand my concerns, as a begginer, about probelms with the watch.
i expect this rep (with its description) to have a long life span (many years).

as i saw on the forum, many members have good experience with those watches.
my concerns are about the reliability of the descriptions.
and about the life span of that watch.
and it helps if you say that I have nothing to worry about.

thank you for your help

I bought my first rep, which is PAM111 almost 3 years ago. To be honest, when I bought it, I thought the life span would be around a year or so and then maybe just throw it after it is not function well. Because, this was my perception towards rep watch and I can't expect more.

I was wrong! That PAM111 still going strong now, and when fully wound, it will last up to 2 days and what amaze me the most is the accuracy is +/-10s per day! Almost the same like my gen PAM112 which I already sold.

Put my gen PAM112 and rep PAM111, yes you can tell which is the rep and which is the gen. But, when look at standalone rep PAM111, you can't tell it (unless you look at the movement).

As for now, this is the longest life span for rep that I have, which is almost 3 years, but I am sure there are a lot of members here have their reps longer than mine.

You won't believe what you got for $130.
It will be much better than you expect as ALE previously said.
I bought it for fun (because of the low price) just to have a DLC PAM among my others.
Hardly left my wrist for a month.

Do as ALE said. If its a watch you end up liking, you can always send it off for a complete movement servicing to one of many on this site (depending on where you are located). If the movement ever does die on you, you can always get an A6497 movement for cheap (~$40-50) and swap it out. It wont be properly engraved but the 026 has a solid case back so it wont even matter.
