I just received a new 233 and had it for two days. Everything was fine until I went on a business trip. I checked the time on the runway due to a delay. A couple hours into the flight I check the time again and when I look down the crystal has split down the middle due to cabin pressure. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

It is the 8 day model. I contacted the dealer and he said he will contact the factory for the cost of the lens replacement.
I've read about this happening with Fiddys before, never with this model though. Maybe when flying we should all pull the crown occasionally whilst climbing and descending to relieve the pressure...s**t, that sounded like a headache commercial...

As a victim of the Fiddy crystal syndrome, I did a bit of research.
It normally happens when your watch is fitted with a mineral rather than sapphire crystal.
I paid approximately 100USD for a Fiddy replacement from a notable dealer in here, and did the exchange myself.
I don't know what your replacement may cost, or if they will send another mineral.
If you have another mineral fitted, I'd be sure to follow sconehead's advice or it might turn into a headache commercial after all, on your next flight.
Ya I would check with the dealer and see if they would allow you to pay the difference for sapphire.
