Sounds like a good idea.
As a victim of the Fiddy crystal syndrome, I did a bit of research.
It normally happens when your watch is fitted with a mineral rather than sapphire crystal.
I paid approximately 100USD for a Fiddy replacement from a notable dealer in here, and did the exchange myself.
I don't know what your replacement may cost, or if they will send another mineral.
If you have another mineral fitted, I'd be sure to follow sconehead's advice or it might turn into a headache commercial after all, on your next flight.
