I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this as I am considerably new. After using this watch, I become more and more obsessed with it on a daily basis and was curious and to what I should be looking for in a rep? My ideal watch would be with the brown calf strap, but certainly don't mind buying a gen to complete the ensemble. I know there are some PAM geniuses on here, so I'm wondering what your thoughts are on where to pick up the rep and who may have the best one. Cheers!

There's no rep of PAM 1388 yet. If there's one you should be looking at thickness, dial color, hands color, subdial color, case shape, and etc.

You can look into the 1314 that is an auto luminor 1950 with a white dial. But size and indeces colur are different... What did you like of the 1388?

I agree that you might also consider a 1314. While I don’t know about this specific rep, the smaller 40-42 cases tend to be thicker than gen to accommodate the movement and can feel top heavy. I think someone said one of the 40m radiomir wore like a full stack order of pancakes. 🥞

Someone talked me out of a 40m for this reason and I got the more traditional 45m version (mine was a Radiomir) but I think the same would apply here to the Luminor.

In your case here (no pun intended), the 1314 is likely to be closer to gen - and - at 44m is the classic Panerai size.

Just something to think about.
