hi guys....

Good day.. I just bought a Pam 005k but i am very new to this.. so pls be gentle with me...

firstly, how to wind a Pam 005k? i tried both way, wind with opening the latch at the right side ( The latch as in the lever to open, so that u can adjust the time) and i tried just winding with the latch closed...

my friends told me to wind it 20 times
but watch stopped at about hmm 14hrs.

is it normal? the dealer which i bought the watch from say it will last 2 days?

Also, my friend told me i shldnt wind it anymore when the mechanism spring back on each wind?

thanks in advance my friend....

cheers

:)

your friend is wrong... just wind it until it can't wind anymore.. and then don't force it too much.. the 6497 movement (what's in the pam 005) is fairly strong and as long as you don't try to wind it too much, you should be okay...

just keep winding until it feels some real resistance.. and then it should go for 40+ hours

same thing happened to a 219 I bought...

whats happening is the factory is cutting the stem too short. So when you wind the crown its screwing the crown in further on the stem. Thus making the stem shorter and not allowing it to catch both gears.

Simple fix it take the crown and stem out. Thread lock the crown further on the stem and youre golden
