For you purists this watch may blind your eyes but I'm in love with it. Pam 001 dial, 111 case, 6497 movement. All made from parts, aged and I bought it cheap ($70).

The only problem is on the 001 the hands don't seem to match. I checked another 001 dial and the hands are exactly the same. The hour and minute hands are lined in black ink and the second hand is lined in white. They don't seem to match. What I'm thinking of doing is staining all the hands to match the stained dial better. The hour/minute hands are nice but still a little light but the second hand is pretty white. Am I crazy for messing with it or should I darken the hands? And which method (smoke, heat, coffee, etc) would you use to match up the hands with the dial? Many thanks, Gerald

PS If any of you guys have any frankensteinian Pams cheap like the above don't be bashful. Send me a PM as I could use some more.
