Hi folks,

Just found a rep with my uncle in his house while helping him move out. It’s a nice good Pam00090 I guess. He gave it to me.

I don’t know much about Pam’s and never had a rep of it up to now. I want to get more info on this piece and I kindly need your valuable help on this.

Does anyone know if it’s from a known factory or what movement is this etc etc.

Feels solid, keeps perfect time. Reserve gauge works. Upper text is a bit sloppy or coming off, if you look closely.

Thanks!

I pass this one to @KOT1917 who knows these older Reps much much better than me. What I can say, is that the know 090 Reps have a solid caseback (just like the Gen). This one has a movement with balance wheel at 12; probably some Seagull movment. So i guess it´s an older standard Rep without a factory name. But @KOT1917 will give you reliable info. Mine is just an educated guess ;-)

Hello.

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the trust.

That's right, this is an old, not the highest quality rep PAM090, they were sold both from dealers and much later on DHGATE.
Inside it has a family 25 seagull, namely ST2530, which has a working PR indicator, however, the date is set using a button on the side of the case at 10 o'clock, which the GEN does not have.

These models can be assembled from different parts, so their shortcomings can be different, they can be different dials, casebacks, CG, and so on.

In your particular case, I see that the caseback is transparent, while it should be solid, fortunately, the correct cg, which is not always found on such models, also, the standard DW, which does not correspond to GEN, neither in shape nor in thickness, but it is in line with the price range of these models, which also do not have decorations other than the rotor.
Among other things, you can pay attention to the fact that the PR indicator is not recessed (scale), but convex, because some of them were glued with foil, and they made it look like a PAM125 dial.

All in all, it's not the best quality product, however, unlike HF's PAM090, which has no factual errors, and is impressively made in general quality, you have a working PR indicator that only this movt can provide, if we're talking about it available for 5 o'clock.

Hope I was able to answer your question.
